Announcing the 2007 Canadian Sailing Team

The Canadian Yachting Association is pleased to announce the members of the 2007 Canadian Sailing Team.
With the latest ISAF World Rankings released on February 7th, Canadian Sailing Team members were prominently represented at the top level. Canada currently has 6 athletes in the top ten and 10 athletes in the top twenty on the World Rankings.
Canadian Sailors are making their mark on the world rankings with hard work and dedication to their program and their country. Special mention goes out to Michael Leigh, in the Laser-Men’s One-Person Dingy, who leads the Canadian team with a ranking of 3rd in the world. Way to go Mike!
The Canadian Sailing Team has many funding partners to acknowledge for their contributions and support in our quest for excellence. Special thanks are extended to our funding partners at Sport Canada, the Canadian Olympic Committee and the PJ Phelan Sailing Foundation. We would also like to thank our dedicated sponsors Gul, Rolex, Salmon Cove, Fogh, McLube, Harken, and the Bank of Montreal. Much of the success of the team can be attributed to the ongoing support of our funding partners and sponsors.
